Evenings are sweeter when you’re doing them on the road. The L-shape lounge in the SRT-19F wraps the front of the caravan and brings everyone around a table that drops away when you need more floor space. Leather upholstery and a diamond-stitched seat back sit under strip lighting on a dimmer, which takes the room from bright to a glow once the bunks are full. A USB socket at the lounge keeps a phone charged within arm's reach, and the 24" smart TV turns a wet afternoon into a movie one.

Everyone loads a caravan with their own priorities. The 224L Thetford compressor fridge in the SRT-19F takes the kids' snacks, a week of milk and fruit, and a bottle of wine for the adults once the bunks go quiet. The two-zone induction cooktop draws off the 48V system, and the 29L convection microwave steps in as a second oven on the nights the kids eat at six, and the adults eat later. The black three-way tap runs filtered water straight into the square black sink, ready for the drink bottles before you pull out in the morning. A cutlery insert keeps the drawer sorted, and a lip on every shelf holds the plates in place down a corrugated road. A month from home, dinner still looks like dinner.

Kids sleep better when the bed feels like home. The SRT-19F gives them two 1820 x 650mm single innerspring bunks with a timber ladder to climb, and the adults an 1820 x 1320mm double innerspring. USB reading lights sit two in the bedroom and two at the bunks, so reading carries on after lights out. Two black fans keep the air moving on a warm, still night, and a dividing curtain to the bunk area is available as an option for families who like the rear zoned off.

An ensuite on board widens the map. Free camps, station stays, and the quiet end of a beach all come into play with the SRT-19F, which runs a Dometic ceramic cassette toilet, a small fibreglass shower behind a curtain, and a black shower head and mixer. The instant hot water system keeps it coming for the second and third shower of the evening, and a hatch overhead clears the steam. The 3.5kg top-load washing machine sits under a flap-up bench lid and keeps the clothes fresh through a long run. The diesel heater warms the whole rig through a cold high-country night. Stay where the view is.

Half the fun of a family trip is the gear that comes along for it. Every shelf in the SRT-19F has a lip, which keeps the crockery stacked through a corrugated stretch. Piano hinges hold the cupboard doors firm on rough ground. Outside, the tunnel boot takes the camp chairs, the awning mat, and the recovery gear. A slide-out tray for the tunnel boot brings all of it to hand, and a drawbar rack for two e-bikes is on the options list beside it.
